Interior Design & Full-Home Furnishings for New Construction
This full-home furnishings project in Royal Oak, Michigan showcases how Macy Lane Designs transformed a newly constructed home by local builder Rapsha Homes into a polished, transitional-modern retreat. Our clients brought us in to furnish the home from top to bottom, creating a cohesive interior that complemented the architecture while feeling comfortable, personal, and designed for everyday family living.
Throughout the home, we layered leather, velvet, warm woods, and textured fabrics to bring softness and character to the new construction. Vibrant shades of green and blue were paired with beige, black, and warm neutrals, creating a refined palette that flows seamlessly from room to room. The result is a thoughtfully furnished Royal Oak home that feels elevated, inviting, and tailored to the family who lives there.

With the architectural foundation already in place, we focused on creating warmth, personality, and permanence through furnishings and styling. We selected clean-lined furniture, classic silhouettes, layered textiles, and natural materials that added visual interest without overwhelming the home. Each space was designed to feel connected to the next while still having its own personality.
With a Bernadoodle at home, durability was essential. We selected pet-friendly performance fabrics and materials that balance everyday practicality with an elevated look.
Outside, we sourced lounge and dining furniture that mirrors the interior, extending the neutral palette and modern lines onto the patio. Every space is designed for a busy lifestyle and makes it easy to entertain friends and host overnight guests.
The finished home balances modern and traditional influences, letting both homeowners’ styles come through in a way that feels intentional rather than competing. The result is a clean, comfortable, layered interior that lets the new construction's architecture shine while giving the home a warmer, more personal identity.
